ANNETTE EHINGER

Although stone cutting is a very dirty job, it is also very satisfying and never boring. I enjoy finding the final cut from the raw material and creating very individual pieces of jewellery. I like to play with traditional stone cuts and vary them. I find the contrast between rough and faceted parts very appealing and for me it almost enhances the delicacy that my work often exudes. The waist allows me to set the stones with a thin wire, allowing the stone to float freely and lightly.
